Nick Garrard recently obtained summary judgment on behalf of a leasing company in the Circuit Court of Simpson County, Mississippi. In her Complaint, the Plaintiff contended that she had sustained damages and injuries after the lessor repossessed a portable storage building which she had leased. However, at her deposition, Garrard was able to get the Plaintiff to make several critical admissions. After a hearing was held on the Defendant’s Motion for Summary Judgment, Judge Eddie Bowen found that the Plaintiff had failed to provide any proof that there was a genuine issue for trial or that the Defendant was liable for any damages the Plaintiff allegedly sustained.
Nick’s litigation and appellate practice includes representing businesses on contractual claims and defenses in all state and federal courts in Mississippi.
