Casey Younger Wins Workers’ Compensation Case

Casey Younger was able to obtain an order of dismissal in a workers’ compensation case alleging that a choking incident caused mental injury under the terms of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Act.

In the ruling, the Administrative Judge found that the Claimant did not prove by clear and convincing evidence that there was a causal connection between the alleged work injury and the Claimant’s mental problems. As a result, the case was dismissed, and it was held that the Claimant did not sustain a compensable work-related injury.
