Wilkins Patterson attorney Nicholas D. Garrard was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the National Barn Storage Rental Association (NBSRA) Advisory Board. As an Advisory Board member, Nick will offer input and suggestions to the board of directors regarding new and evolving issues affecting the industry.
Nick’s practice at Wilkins Patterson involves representation of owners and dealers of storage buildings on a variety of day-to-day legal issues, and assisting these clients in efficiently handling their accounts and business practices. He also represents these clients as creditors in bankruptcy cases, and assists in collections and replevin matters. Nick has experience in locating and developing relationships with local counsel in other states, and has overseen numerous cases in fourteen states to ensure client satisfaction.
NBSRA is a member of the Association of Professional Rental Organizations (APRO), which represents the rent-to-own industry before the U.S. Congress, state legislatures, and the Internal Revenue Service. As an organization, NBSRA seeks to provide helpful tools to the RTO shed industry by raising awareness of legal issues, providing updated information on ethical and trustworthy business practices, and networking with others in the industry.
