Garrard Introduced as General Counsel for National Association

Nicholas D. Garrard was recently introduced as General Counsel for the National Barn Storage Rental Association (NBSRA) at the Association’s annual conference in Fort Worth, TX. Nick previously served as an advisory board member for the NBSRA. As General Counsel, Nick will advise the Board of Directors and the Association regarding new and evolving issues affecting the lease-purchase/rent-to-own industry.

Nick is a partner at Wilkins Patterson, and his practice includes representing owners and dealers of storage buildings on a variety of day-to-day legal issues, and assisting these clients in efficiently handling their accounts and business practices. He also represents these clients as creditors in bankruptcy cases, and assists in collections and replevin matters. Nick has experience in locating and developing relationships with local counsel in other states, and has overseen numerous cases in fourteen states to ensure client satisfaction. Nick also has an acitive litigation and appellate practice at Wilkins Patterson.

The NBSRA is a member of the Association of Professional Rental Organizations (APRO), which represents the rent-to-own industry before the U.S. Congress, state legislatures, and the Internal Revenue Service. As an organization, NBSRA seeks to provide helpful tools to the RTO shed industry by raising awareness of legal issues, providing updated information on ethical and trustworthy business practices, and networking with others in the industry.
