Stephenson Wins Workers’ Comp Case

Robert Stephenson secured a victory for the employer and carrier in a claim for workers compensation benefits in Williams v. Piggly Wiggly et al.

The employee claimed that he injured his back lifting a case of meat at the grocery store where he worked. The employer and carrier defended the claim and presented evidence at trial that the injury occurred while the employee was at home. After the trial, the Administrative Law Judge entered a ruling in favor of the employer and carrier.
